Graduating
Starfleet academy the same year that the
Dominion War began, Bryce has had a long and distinguished
career. His first post was to the USS Hood. At the First Battle of
Chin'toka, Bryce took part in landing operations along side the
Klingon forces. After initial operations concluded, Bryce reported
to Starbase 375 for reassignment. He was then assigned to a small
unit attached to the USS Kelly for the planned combat landing at the
Battle of Rigel. Although the USS Kelly was destroyed, Bryce's unit
was one of a few to have already made their drop. During the heavy
ground fighting, Bryce was injured and eventually medevaced to
Starbase 371 for treatment. He was declared fit for duty in time for
the Cardassian Offensive and assigned to the
USS Galaxy as part of the Starfleet
Ground forces
needed in the planned Invasion of Cardassia Prime. When the Galaxy
finally did make Cardassia orbit, the ground forces were retasked to
relief efforts.
Bryce was eventually recruited into Starfleet Intelligence in 2377.
His early Intel career mostly concerned
organized crime
in former Cardassian space. Many assignments took him to Romulan
space following the Hobus Disaster. As relations with the
Klingons continued
to sour, Bryce was assigned to the Federation Embassy on Qo'noS. He
was officially assigned as a security advisor to the Ambassador.
While there, his experience with the Klingons during the Dominion
War made it easier to interact with his counterparts in Imperial
Intelligence.
After diplomats were withdrawn from Klingon space, Bryce was
recalled to Earth. He drifted through many sections of Starfleet
Intel until War finally broke out. He spent the majority of the war
on the front lines, helping coordinate operations.
In 2421, Bryce was assigned to
Deep Space 9 as Chief Intelligence Officer. It is believed
his experience will be of value in re-establishing a Federation
presence in the Bajoran Sector.
