Sim Date: Jan. 4, 2010
Six years ago, the Klingon Empire invaded the Bajoran system. Starfleet defended
the system valiantly, but in the end, the Klingons prevailed. Before retreating,
Starfleet mined and destroyed the Bajoran wormhole, in an effort to keep the
Klingons from entering the Gamma Quadrant and picking another fight with the
Dominion... or worse. The Federation was forced out, and the Klingons began
their occupation of Bajor, towing Starbase Deep Space 9 back into orbit of the
planet. After the end of the war, the Klingons agreed to relinquish certain
systems annexed during the war to Federation control. The Bajoran system was on
that list. Now, at the beginning of a new year, Starfleet has ordered recently
promoted Captain Benjamin Wolf to assume command of Deep Space 9.

(Monday, Jan. 4, 2421, 1012hrs)
Sim Date: Jan. 11, 2010
The U.S.S. Polaris has arrived at Deep Space Nine, and an away team has been
sent over to secure and repower the station. But dangers lurking in the shadows
of the ravaged space station may prove more of a threat than the team can
handle. Meanwhile, the Polaris has moved to intercept a Klingon transport that
was discovered attempting to hide behind the Bajoran moon of Derna. But what
they discover may mean great changes for Bajor and Deep Space Nine.
